Suit Safe

Cool Down Coyote was formulated dye-free, sugar-free, carb-free, and with minimal chalkiness so accidental spills would be nothing to worry about. Whether at con or at home, Cool Down Coyote won't leave behind bright colorful residues or yellow over time.
Here's What You Can Expect if Cool Down Coyote is Spilled On Your Suit
Because spills do happen, this is what a Cool Down Coyote spill on faux fur is like:
- Slightly sticky when wet - Like other drinks but much less than regular sports drinks
- Not very sticky when dry - When fully dry Cool Down Coyote is not gummy and is not likely to attract other contaminants
- Dries in soft peaks - Small dried peaks or groups of strands may form, but they mostly disappear after brushing your dry suit. (Brushing while wet won't hurt your suit but will just spread the spill)
- Faint Cool Down Coyote scent - Spills generally smell subtlety like Cool Down Coyote, but should fade after washing your suit
Overall, Cool Down Coyote is designed to leave minimal residue and stay suit friendly.
How to Care For A Cool Down Coyote Spill
If a spill happens, here is what to do:
- Pat dry - Use a dry towel to absorb as much liquid as possible
- Wash or wait - You can wash it out immediately with water or let it dry naturally if you prefer
- Brush once dry fully - If you are not washing immediately, you can let the spill dry fully and gently brush out any dried peaks. (Brushing while wet won't hurt your suit but will just spread the spill)
- Wash after the event - You should still be washing your suit after a spill, but it doesn't have to interrupt your convention. Spills will fully come out when rinsed with water and gentle agitation.
Cool Down Coyote does not yellow over time (three months testing and ongoing Feb 2026) so if you can't wash right away or miss a spot when cleaning there is no emergency.
